2012 TOUR
Although the actual route for 2012 is still in the early planning
stages, read on for a taste of what is in store.
The fully catered GREAT Macedon Ranges Grand Tour will commence after a
hearty Breakfast. You will then travel on smooth traffic free bitumen
roads through a colour-filled landscape featuring some of the most
scenically diverse countryside Victoria has to offer with the first stop
being Morning tea. You will view the mystical rock formation of Hanging
Rock, magnificent English gardens on Mount Macedon displaying their full
glorious autumn colour. Passing vineyards brushed with the burnt colours
of early autumn in Victoria’s premium cold climate wine growing
region, you will have time to stop and enjoy the tranquillity and the
clean country air.
Apart from the pre-start breakfast and Morning Tea, your entry fee
includes Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Dinner plus the opportunity to explore
the many friendly historic townships. Perhaps taking a detour to sample
and purchase some local produce from a thriving Farmer’s market or one
of the many providores or cellar doors. Navigational skills will be
tested as you sweep through corners on roads just made for a day out in
an older car. The routes are already being planned by local enthusiasts
taking you on roads that are the best kept secret in Australia. This is
motoring at its best!
