TD AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES PTY LTD

Was initially established in 1994 as TD 2000 Pty Ltd to manufacture the Australian designed MG TD replica, the TD2000 roadster. The car manufacturing business was sold in 2001 allowing the team to concentrate on high quality automotive services. The business is co-owned by Managing Director Joe Quercio, and Garry Barnes, Director.

Joe started at General and Sporting Motors doing work experience, he left 8 years later as a qualified mechanic moving on to Maranello Motors prior to TD. He has vast experience in all makes of vehicles with a particular focus on English & European classic cars.  Prior to the formation of the current company, he managed TD 2000 Pty Ltd and controlled all facets of the TD 2000 manufacturing process. Garry is a qualified Electrical Engineer with many years experience in marketing and management of small to medium businesses. The company currently employs four qualified mechanics, one third year apprentice and an Assistant Manager. TD’s most senior mechanic is a Saab specialist.

TD specialise in all mechanical servicing, restorations, including engine rebuilds – for which they are renowned.  The company also sells fits and balances tyres, as well as carrying out suspension alignments. Apart from the normal servicing of all makes, models and ages of cars the business is equipped to co-ordinate and manage full restorations including the sub-contracting of body work and painting.

The wide range of specialist/historic/prestige cars that have had major repairs or been restored include Volvo P1800, EH Holden Premier Wagon, E-Type Jaguar, 1928 Rolls Royce, various Bentleys, Alvis, Mini Cooper S, Mini Clubman, XP Falcon. Many of these cars have become concourse winners.

The boys also have time for fun having competed in Targa Tasmania and sedan racing. Joe is an active member of the Alfa Romeo Club. 

Opening hours are from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday
